Writing
I have been writing for as long as I can remember. The papers my mother gave me that she saved from the time I was little include short stories illustrated by fantastic creatures and landscapes. I continued to write expressively in elementary school and discovered poetry as an outlet in middle school. At times I still experiment with fiction, and still occasionally write poetry.
Examples of my work are linked below.
Dissertation - A Narrative Examination of the Experience of Early Entrance to College
JNCHC Forum Submission - "Are You Gifted-Friendly? Understanding How Honors Contexts (Can) Serve Gifted Young Adults"
Diversity Monograph #2 - Occupy Honors Education
Diversity Monograph #1 - Setting the Table for Diversity
Poetry (old poems mostly, copied to my blog)
Poetry & Fiction (from my old Geocities website)
How to Grow Dreadlocks, pt 2 (2nd Place, Graduate Fiction, 2003 Gordone Awards)
Setting the Table for Diversity (NCHC Monograph on Diversity Issues)
I reflect on being an Honors professional at From Promise to Achievement.
I also have a personal blog at Fixin a Hole and a (semi-defunct) collaboration on play-in-learning at IdeaPlay.
